Description

"This is as far as you go, rotten creature. For this world I saved from my chaotic seasons is the only beautiful thing I have left"

-----

The Barghest. More conceptual stuff from my poor, unfinished stories.
Done with dip pen and ink. Original is a bit smaller than an A4

And I am very sorry for the nearly three months of forced hiatus. I lost my laptop in a bizarre accident involving a very fat cat, a mild earthquake (4.5), anger issues and Jacques Cousteau's encyclopedia. It is hard to explain but someday I will make a comic about it.  Since I haven't had a chance to fix my laptop, I'm on a borrowed computer. The only good thing is that I have plenty of time to draw... Stay around for more things soon...

As always thanks for viewing, have a wonderful day, specially you, faithful Watchers and commenters, I am well aware of you and even if I'm unable to answer I can't be thankful enough for finding you around even after long absences

I really like the big ominous cloud of disembodied hands and assorted THINGS that accompany the barghest. The flowing coat tail of the standing man really emphasizes the impact the cloud has on things.

I am further impressed by the cityscape in the background, its dense yet so wellthought out that it forms a good counterpart to the beasts big cloud as does the white snowdrifts to the darkness. The White space between is nicely bridged by tendrils (clouds?) reaching out towards the city.

In the end this piece reminds me of classical black and white illustrations accompanying some older books.
