A very interesting work. I like the layout of the elements on the page. Unlike the previous critic (without meaning any disrespect), I actually think that you've shown just the right amount of train - it really gives that sense of your characters running after the train but never quite catching up with it. I like the use of the reverted silhouttes, and I like the sketched technique used for the train. Where I think this falls down is in the combination of the pared down silhouttes and the more detailed work of the train and the ghouls/wolf-creature. I also think that contrasting the smoke from the train in white where it merges with the moon doesn't quite work.

I do think that combining the sharpness of the silhouettes with the detailed sketch work is a good idea, but might be more successful in its impact by keeping the left hand side of the work completely black (You say that this is for a story, so I am thinking in terms of book covers <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/> ), which would then be punctured by the silhouette figures running from the darkness/nothingness into a more concretely realised scene. Of course without knowing the background of the story it's hard to comment accurately if this is meant to be a particular scene from the story. I'm sure it would be possible to re-structure the scene with solid black on the left side, and still include the ghouls, etc appearing around the figures. You could even take this image as it is, and simply fade the left hand side to black in photoshop to get an idea of what it could look like.

Apart from those few critiques, I do like this. Your work here makes me think of the artwork of Jan Pienkowski, who has illustrated many fairy-tale and mythological subjects.
